The opening of the assisted care units in March 2024 was created to enable older adults who want to remain independent in a home environment, but need non-medical assistance with activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, dressing and maintaining good hygiene. A dedicated carer is on duty 24-hours with support from a qualified sister to help with any assistance situation.
Doringbome Assisted Living consists of eleven single units, each furnished with a kitchen and a bathroom. Partial care is given to residents who need help with their daily activities. Each resident’s needs will differ, therefore standard packages are made available accordingly with the option to obtain additional services.
The Assisted Living helps the older community with personal care such as:
- General household chores
- Weekly laundry service
- Weekly cleaning of bathroom and kitchen
- Daily garbage removal
- Quarterly thorough cleaning of apartment
- Medication dispensing and packing

One month’s rent is payable as a deposit as well as a once-off evaluation and an administration fee is payable for recording the resident.
Assisted care residents have supervised access to the resort grounds and can also enjoy the following:
